My new mini ironing board for handmadebysarakim fabric flowers~
Finally, I got myself to go to home depot and get some plywood to make a mini ironing board for small fabric flowers. All you need is a small piece of wood, batting fabric, a cute patterned cotton and a staple gun. You just put it together and staple it on the bottom. I’m loving it! It’s super cute in my studio and can’t wait to iron my small fabric petals.

About 3 years ago, around the time handmadebysarakim first started, a sweet guy contacted us and asked us to make him a customized valentines card for his girlfriend at the time. I usually remember the few men that contact us for orders since there aren’t that many. I thought it was super sweet and now after 3 years later they got engaged and contacted me to make some paper flowers for their wedding that just past a few weeks ago. It was such a beautiful wedding and here are the pictures of our flowers. They placed our flowers in a terrarium and were used as escort/name cards and party favors. The bride also put some on her bride hanger.

I’ve been meaning to share this with everyone!!! I designed and printed some “wish tags” for my wedding and it was a huge hit. Recently, I was looking through them and it was so much fun reading them. Some were very clever and had super sweet messages on all of them. I made 7 different types of encouragement/ wish cards and I want to share it with everyone! So if you want to print some on your own, please email us at handmadebysarakim@gmail.com and I will send you a jpeg file with all of them for free. All you need to do is change our names and print them out on some nice cardstock paper and a quick instagram hashtag @handmadebysarakim of the picture would be awesome :)
We had our guests hang them on tree branches and had another corner with this board above. My favorite has to be the “draw a picture” tag.

These colors make me sooo happy!!! I look at it and smile. They were officially picked up by the lovely couple getting married this weekend. I’m so excited handmadebysarakim got to be part of their happy exciting day~ I had so much fun making these flowers and staring at them AND taking lots of pictures of them. The flowers were about 10-15 inches wide and some were even bigger! They will be used as a backdrop at their wedding.
I also took a quick break to make these teacher appreciation day card and gift for my niece, Madison’s teacher. I hope she felt really appreciated because I know how important teachers are since my husband is also a high school math teacher and me, teaching music. Yes, we got a buy one get one free chipotle. Teachers are awesome~

I’m all over the place right now! From bows to hairpieces to paper flowers, it really is wedding season and love is in the air. If people don’t know, I make stuff all morning and go to work as a private music teacher (piano and violin) during the day and make stuff all night. If I’m not a workaholic, I eat. If I’m home, I’m vegan. My husband usually cooks all the extra good vegan food. I’m not sure about the recipes but you can probably look them up. Vegan waffles, bagel with edamame hummus, and my favorite vegan pasta with fried eggplant. That’s my life~
